Stanley Black & Decker Completes Previously Announced Acquisition Of Infastech

Stanley Black & Decker (NYSE: SWK), an S&P 500 global diversified industrial company, announced today that it has successfully completed its acquisition of Infastech, a leading global manufacturer and distributor of specialty engineered fastening technologies headquartered in Hong Kong, from CVC Capital Partners and Standard Chartered Private Equity Limited for USD$850 million in cash. This transaction was originally announced on July 23rd, 2012.

ø 10 mm (3/8") Structural Multi-grip Fastener

: By accommodating wide variations in material thickness, Monobolt® fasteners can be used in a variety of applications to reduce assembly time, stock levels and costs.

Avdel has introduced the Monobolt® 10 mm (3/8") structural fastener in aluminium and stainless steel in addition to the steel version. These multi-grip structural breakstem fastener create a fully sealed joint with a visible lock. The rivets are specially designed to suit a wide range of applications for the automotive, commercial vehicle, construction and general industrial markets where high shear and tensile strengths are needed. The fasteners work along the same principles as the 6.4 mm and 4.8 mm Monobolt® rivets, one of Avdel’s most prestigious product lines. With a grip range between 3.1 and 15.8 mm, the 10 mm Monobolt® rivet is a truly versatile and reliable extension to the Monobolt® fastener range.

The Avbolt® fastener is a structural, tamper resistant high strength, blind rivet designed for use in heavy duty structural applications. The locking feature, similar to a Lockbolt fastener, prevents loosening of the stem, which creates an extremely durable, vibration resistant joint.
